Art Week November 2019

In November 2019 we held an Art Week.

This year the focus painting was 'The Umbrellas' by Pierre-Auguste Renoir. The children explored the painting in a variety of ways. They talked about the people in the painting and what they might be doing of saying. They looked at the people's clothing and compared it to clothing we wear. They brought their own umbrellas to school and took photos of themselves with their umbrellas. They created art work, written work and design work using this painting as their inspiration.

At the end of the week we held an exhibition of all the children's work for parents, friends and family to come and view, below are some photos from the exhibition.
