Highly Important Information for all parents

Dear Parents/Carers,

This is a plea from the office staff, teachers and support staff. We are finding that large numbers of children are coming into school without either a school lunch booked or a packed lunch with them. The teachers and support staff do not have the time to check each child as they come into school and neither do the office staff. The school day is extremely busy and to be checking lunches would take staff away from teaching your children. If a child’s lunch is not booked before 9.30am, they will not receive one on that day.

Please book your children’s lunches well in advance (it can be done for the whole term). When you book the lunches please log off and then a few minutes later go back into the bookings page to check that your child’s lunches have actually registered as booked. We are finding that some people have thought that the lunches are booked when in fact they are not saved correctly. This can be the case particularly if you are booking them on a smart phone.

As I am sure you are all aware the responsibility for arranging your children’s lunches lays with you their parents. The school ensures that the children receive their lunches but cannot be responsible for booking them. There is simply not enough time to do this. We do not want to see children without a lunch and so we ask that everyone takes the time to ensure that all lunches are booked or provided for the whole term from the first day of term.

Thank you for your support in this matter

Yours sincerely

Mrs J Baker
