Woodpeckers - Year Two Class

Children should arrive in class between 8.45am and 8.55am. Now that they are in Year Two, the children have more responsibilities. They will be expected to change their own reading books and hand in any correspondence from home. We do not look in their bags for letters etc, this is their responsibility and we would ask for your help in reminding them of this, as will we.

Spellings and Mental Maths homework will be sent out every Wednesday and the tests will take place on the following Monday.

If you would like to get an early start on the homework, it will be available on the class webpages by Monday evening.

Please ensure that spelling books and maths books are returned on Mondays.

Any late books will not be marked until the following week.

Handwriting homework will also be sent out on a Wednesday and will be due in on the following Monday.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to one of the adults in class.

PE days are Monday and Thursday but children may be required to use their PE kit on other occasions, therefore PE kits should be in school every day

This game will help your child to recognise different sentence types and to add the correct punctuation mark.
