Owls - Reception Class

Welcome to the Owl class webpage!

Welcome back for the start of the new Spring term.

Thank you to all parents who have given a donation of glue sticks, pens or paper. This really does help as they are things we get through a lot of. The donation for this month is for any paper or card or glue sticks. Please could I also ask if anyone could donate a box of tissues that would be very helpful as we seem to get through a lot of those especially at this time of year.

Design and Technology Week

This week has been D.T. week and we have been working on the story of The Lighthouse Keepers lunch by Ronda Armitage. Do pop in on Monday after school to look at all the activities the children have been doing.

Maths Bags

Every Friday we have been sending home maths bags to 10 children. These are a great opportunity to encourage and support your child in maths. Please return these bags on the following Monday with all of the resources.

Thank you for all the feedback about the Maths bags. It has all been very positive.

PE is on Thursday mornings. Please ensure your child has their full PE kit in school.

We visit the school library on a Friday afternoon. The children can choose one book each week to be returned the following Friday.

Abraham the class bear

As some of you will be already aware we now have a class teddy bear called Abraham. The children take it in turn to bring him home each day. Please can I ask that you do ensure you return him everyday as the children look forward to finding out who is next. If you get him on a Friday - lucky you - as you do not have to bring him back till Monday.

Speech Bubbles

We are always looking for ways of celebrating your child's achievements but we realise there is not always time to speak to us directly. Please help yourself to the speech bubbles outside the classroom or download them here and let us know of any exciting event or achievement that we can discuss with your child. These can be handed to a member of staff or put in your child's book bag.
